Himalayan Balsam pulling<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 This\u00a0invasive\u00a0non-native species<\/a>\u00a0can overrun a site and harm soil quality. It is easy to remove by hand \u2013 just don\u2019t take any risks if near the water or a steep bank! We focus our efforts in May\/June as that is when the Balsam is mature enough to identify but has yet to go to seed. Members of our group also\u00a0take part part in organised Balsam pulls across Nottinghamshire<\/a>\u00a0as part of a coordinated effort to keep it under control.<\/p>\n\n\n
